Childhood cancer treatment is isolating. Children spend weeks and months in hospital rooms, away from friends, school, and normal life. ICW's Compassion in Action program addresses the emotional dimension of healing by bringing joy, warmth, and community directly to patients.
Volunteers gather to write heartfelt, handwritten cards and assemble personalized care packages and in-kind donations — delivered to children at partner hospitals across the US and internationally.

Access to early cancer detection and treatment technology is not evenly distributed across the world. Children in underserved regions — including rural India and Sub-Saharan Africa — face dramatically higher barriers to care, even when effective treatments exist.
ICW's Global Support program directs funds raised through our events and campaigns to partner hospitals and clinics worldwide, improving infrastructure, technology, and access to cancer care for children and families most in need.
